The "Intense"

Built in 2008 the "Intense" is the largest boat in the Dream Catcher Charters Key West Fishing Fleet and the hallmark of offshore capable center consoles in the sub 34 ft range. With a nearly 10 ft beam and 33 ft of vessel this boat is a machine. Customized to fish anywhere with a 300 mile range there is little that this boat is not able to do.

Our customers enjoy this boat in many different areas of our fishing specialties and charters. Capable of handling up to four persons for offshore and specialty charters and up to 6 persons for Shark fishing, tarpon fishing, and our family fun adventure trips.

Get There Fast And Economically

Powered with twin Mercury 300 Hp Verado Outboards the "Intense" gets to the fishing grounds quickly and efficiently. 4 stroke technology was improved years ahead by the Verado. With supercharged power this motor develops big power at low RPM keeping the 32 ft Yellowfin moving along burning little fuel. The "Intense" has a cruise speed of 40 mph and top speed of 60.

Find The Fish Electronics

Outfitted with state of the art electronics such as Garmin Chart plotter and 6 KW radar for finding and storing over 5000 waypoints for fishing all over the waters from Key West out to the Dry Tortugas. A special feature of Full Dopler Radar on boat to warn of impending bad weather while out fishing to help try and save the day for our clients.

Custom installed brand new by Yellowfin Yachts in October of 2010 --- For bottom fishing we have the Furuno FCV 295 1,2,or 3K adjustable color bottom sonar with a 12 inch screen and bottom mapping technology. This machine is far beyond the typical bottom fish finding devices you will find on any of the Key West Charter boats. Coupled with an experimental AIRMAR R series transducer R 209 with expandable frequency technology. You can see the crack in a mosquitos ass at 40 mph in 700 feet of water.

Enjoy The Day Environment

With a large hard t-top there is enough shade to offer those that need it. Seating is abundant but not in the way of the fishing. Along with the fine array of electronics there is a very powerful twin sub woofer 16 speaker stereo system made by JL Audio. Matched with not only Sirius Satellite radio but also XM so you can listen to what ever you want while you fish, play, snorkel, or relax on this boat.

Easy access

To everything is important. The Intense has a built in ladder that makes easy access in and out of the water. There is a Small porta potty for those that need it and there is a ton of cooler space for all your drinks and food. Dry Storage is easy too, plenty of room to keep all your stuff not only at hand but dry and safe.

I can be a bit freakish about my boats.. Nothing but the best will do for my machines and the people who go fishing with me on them. If it is old, get rid of it mentality is how I keep my boats.
