I find that my job as a fishing guide in Key West is the easy part. Working with people to catch them is the fun part. Using techniques learned from a lifetime of fishing I try to show my anglers the best way to cast to, hook, and land our sport fish day in and day out. From the hard core extreme angler to the first timer there is not a fishing charter I cannot handle.

About My Key West Fishing

Key West flats fishing is legendary for permit and bonefishing with year round tarpon fishing. Without a doubt some of the best flats fishing in the world. Sight fishing the flats and backcountry is the guiding I enjoy most. I have the best in both worlds of boats specifially suited for both.

The wrecks and reefs are loaded with fish for the table. Deep sea fishing is just 7 miles away with the thrill of dolphin, wahoo, tuna, sailfish and marlin. The Key West backcountry fishing is super exciting with the many inshore species of fish.

Whether you are fishing light or heavy tackle fly fishing or spin fishing, flats fishing, wrecks, reef, deep sea fishing or backcountry fishing Key West has it all for you and Capt. Steven Lamp has been here to guide you full time since 1994 covering it all.

IGFA Captain/Guide

In the spirit of the I.G.F.A. the most reliable record keeping authority in the world for game fishing I went forward to take the test to call myself an IGFA captain/guide. Because Key West fishing is so diverse I felt more knowledge was good. I am proud to be in among some of the greatest names in fishing who have pushed themselves to be the most knowledgable in our field.
