Frequently asked questions are a great way to cut to the chase when inquiring about fishing charters and trips. Policy and answers to these questions may be different from one fishing charter company to another here in Key West.

If you have other questions please feel free to text us or email us with them. We usually respond within 24 hours and most of the time sooner.

Here Are The Frequently Asked Questions

Flats Fishing Boats No, there is not.

Bay Boats – Some of our bay boats have bathrooms. Please inquire when you call.

Reef Fishing center consoles- yes both of them have bathrooms

Deep sea fishing on board the  Viking 47 InXS Key West deep sea fishing boat

You can bring anything you like to carry, however, I have some of the top gear available for both spin and fly fishing that I am sure you will be very happy with. If you do decide to bring your own gear please make sure that I know about it so I can make room. Also it may be helpful if you call me to ask what kind of lines and whatnots to put on your rod and reel.

What you like to eat, sunscreen lotion (not spray please) a good pair of polarized sunglasses, a hat and maybe a camera.  Remember, If you are flats fishing with me or any other guide we have only a little room in our boats.

My deep sea fishing boat and my 36 ft Yellowfin Center console reef fishing boat can accommodate more stuff.

All of my boats have coolers with ice for your cold stuff.

Our Key West fishing charters supply almost everything you will need to go fishing such as: Rods, Reels, Licenses, bait, fly rods, flys, leaders and tackle.

We also supply plenty of bottled waters and ice in the coolers to keep your lunch cold.

No.. and be careful of Key West fishing charters that do. 99 times out of 100 its a sham..

If it sucks out there, I don’t want to go either. Ultimately it is my decision. Winds and fly fishing usually don’t mix for many anglers so we base our departure possibilities off of that. If you are scheduled to fly fish and it is too windy for your casting. We will be spin fishing. Other trips my office books are with fishing guides that have their own policies, check with them before you get excited about cancelling due to a summer shower.

We do not keep any money for trips that the captains cancel due to weather.

Cancel outside 7 days and there is a full refund less 10.00 to 25.00 depending on the trip.

Cancel Inside 7 days and outside 24 hours and lose your deposit.

Cancel inside 24 hours and there will be a full charge for your trip as stated in the confirmation you will sign for your booking.

When I can answer that I will no longer be guiding………

Here Are The Hall Of Fame Questions

Like anything there are some fundamentals that may be required. Yes.. Swimming is a fundamental of Snorkeling and it is required for our private snorkeling charters

We hope so. Your results may vary but the rest of us want it to.

Yes. Water goes all the way around it.

Sounds funny huh? I get this question all the time. It depends on what we fish for, when we fish for it, how well you do fishing for it, and how many fish we see for the day of fishing that you have set forth to see and catch fish…… In other words.. I have no idea but I promise we will try our hardest to get as many as possible.
