Key West Fishing Report

Key West Fishing Reports are very important as conditions and fishing are ever changing here. Fishing reports are a great way to see what happened last week. But the fishing forecast is a great way to see what might happen next week or weeks to come based on what we are seeing in the weather forecast and based on seasonal changes I have seen in my career that spans back to the 80s. Key West is extremely diverse with the number of places to fish and ways to fish it.

Below you will see the fishing reports I have written with some forecasts for how i think things are shaping up for when YOU might be able to come fishing in Key West.

Key West Fishing Forecast

In my fishing reports I always try to put in a fishing forecast.  I realize a report of how things were does not really help those looking to book a day of fishing in the future. This forecast comes from my interpretation of the LRF (Long Range weather Forecast) up against my years of flats fishing, deep sea fishing and reef fishing. I study pressure, moon phases, wind history and forecasted projections, Gulf Stream data and SSTs (Sea Surface Temps). It can be purely speculation. As I move through the year the Key West fishing calendar changes so I try to keep up with that.

Anyone reading my reports can always contact me directly and ask questions related to their travel and fishing charter plans.
